Cancer Survivors Day celebration returns to downtown Greenville park

Cancer Survivors 2024

Cancer Survivors Park will host a Cancer Survivors Day celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 1.

The free event will feature a variety of activities, including:

  • 10-11:30 a.m. – Professional photographs.
  • Noon – Music and movement class by Drum4work.
  • 1 p.m. – Group survivor photo.
  • Casting for Recovery – fly fishing lessons throughout the day.
  • Children’s bubble games and princes meet and greet.
  • Hair painting and bracelets, canvas tote bag creation, t-shirt craft and Wings of Hope craft.
  • Plant a seedling, karaoke, self-guided labyrinth walks, wellness trivia, mantra making, survivor ribbons and a gratitude activity.
  • Five-minute massages, reiki sessions and nutrition/smoothie demo.

The celebration will also include free refreshments from Common Pops popsicles and Rue’s Mobile Coffee, waters and small bites in the park’s Center for Hope & Healing.
