Good To Go’s midtown expansion; new biscuit spot opens in Spartanburg: Weekly Dish

In the front of the store, the team has added a tasting table for wine and other items. The store also now carries fresh, seasonal produce. Currently, you can find heirloom tomatoes, rainbow carrots and cucumbers among other spring and summer fruits and veggies.

The market’s prep area is now behind a glass door leading to the kitchen. It was important to Good To Go GVL management that the kitchen still was open for viewing.

“(The) front area is actually going to be where we host kids camp,” Mullins said. “So parents will be able to be in here shopping or hanging out if they want.”

Kids Camp is an inclusive camp focused on cooking with parallel art and business education components, so participants can learn what it takes to be entrepreneurs.

Good To Go GVL will soon add a self-service canteen, Good To Go Mini Market, in the Wells Fargo building downtown. It will open in the former Swamp Mart space and serve sandwiches, wraps, protein balls, pimento cheese and other quick-service options. It is slated to open in June and will be fully self service.

Atlanta-based The Flying Biscuit Cafe will open a new location June 9 in Spartanburg. This will be its fifth location in South Carolina. To mark the occasion, the business will offer promotions and coupons.
