Roper Mountain Science Center opens annual Summer Adventure
Roper Mountain Science Center recently launched its 2025 Summer Adventure program on May 28.
The program is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday until July 26. Roper Mountain Science Center is located at 402 Roper Mountain Road in Greenville.
Summer Adventure’s new feature exhibit is based on the popular PBS Kids show, Wild Kratts. Children ages three to nine can visit the ‘Wild Kratts: Creature Power’ exhibit to learn about different animals and explore their habitats. The kids will have opportunities to use science and teamwork to help the Wild Kratts team solve problems, help animals and stop a villain’s evil plans.
Those visiting Roper Mountain Science Center’s Summer Adventure can also see hundreds of butterflies in the center’s Butterfly Encounter, pet a stingray in the Marine Lab, tour the Environmental Science building, walk the outdoor Dinosaur Trails, explore the Living History Farm, visit the Axolotl and Piranha exhibits and more.

Tickets for Summer Adventure are $15 for adults (ages 13 and up) and $14 for children (ages three to 12) and senior citizens (ages 60 and up). Admission is free for children under the age of three and for Roper Mountain Science Center members.
