Bon Secours Wellness Arena to showcase Upstate musicians through new partnership
Bon Secours Wellness Arena announced May 7 a new partnership with Sofar Sounds Greenville to showcase rising Upstate artists.
Sofar Greenville, the local chapter of the national entertainment business Sofar Sounds, will serve as the arena’s Furman Plaza Stage partner. Local artists will perform on the Furman Plaza before select concerts at the arena. Cassie Harden Scott, Sofar Greenville’s curator, said the initiative has the potential to be a game-changer for the Upstate music scene.
“By strategically placing these local original musicians on the Furman Plaza Stage, Sofar Greenville and Bon Secours Wellness Arena are not just providing pre-show entertainment; they are actively cultivating a deeper appreciation for local artistry, fostering community pride, and creating meaningful opportunities for the growth and recognition of Greenville’s exceptional musical talent,” Scott said.

Slow Funeral, a local alt-rock band, will perform at the first Sofar Greenville concert on the Furman Plaza on May 8. Concertgoers attending LINKIN PARK: From Zero World Tour at Bon Secours Wellness Arena are invited to watch the free, pre-show concert starting at 5 p.m.
Bon Secours Wellness Arena is located at 650 N. Academy St. in downtown Greenville. Beth Paul, the arena’s general manager, said they are excited to partner with Sofar Greenville to create unforgettable experiences that connect fans with music in a more personal and engaging way.
“This collaboration aligns with our commitment to bringing innovative and diverse entertainment to Greenville, as well as our immense passion for championing local musicians and strengthening our exceptional music community,” Paul said.
