Bon Secours, UnitedHealthcare reach agreement on patient coverage

Bon Secours and UnitedHealthcare have reached an agreement which ensures about 30,000 patients in the Upstate will retain in-network access to Bon Secours providers and facilities, the health system announced June 26.

The agreement takes effect July 1 and covers all of UnitedHealthcare’s South Carolina contracts, including commercial (employer-sponsored), Medicare Advantage, Exchange (Marketplace/ACA), and the Veteran’s Affairs Community Care Network health plans.
