Greenville Together launches community conversation series about homelessness

Greenville Together: A Home for All plans to hold a series of neighborhood community conversations to discuss homelessness.

The community conversations aim to create a platform for open dialogue and introduce more people to the work of Greenville Together, a community-driven initiative focused on addressing homelessness. Cody Carver, director of Greenville Together, said the issue is bigger than any one organization or person.

“These events are a chance for neighbors to come together, get informed, and be part of the solution,” Carver said.

Residents and local stakeholders are invited to attend the first community conversation meeting May 21 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Triune Mercy Center. Local leaders and the initiative’s partners will take community questions and provide updates on the collaborative efforts working to create solutions for homelessness.

Future community conversation meetings will be held:

  • July 31 at the Prisma Health Welcome Center at Unity Park
  • Sept. 18 at Augusta Heights Baptist Church
