Greenville Tech dual enrollment program earns accreditation
Greenville Technical College’s dual enrollment program received initial accreditation from the Accreditation Commission of the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partners.
NACEP serves as the only national accreditation body dedicated to concurrent enrollment partnerships. Mike Altomari, incoming chair of NACEP’s Accreditation Commission, said achieving an accreditation reflects an institution’s strong commitment to delivering high-quality opportunities for high school students that support their transition into postsecondary education.
GTC was one of six institutions to earn initial accreditation from NACEP. Larry Miller, the college’s vice president for learning and workforce development, said they want to ensure that each student receives a quality experience while completing dual enrollment classes at the college.

To earn accreditation, GTC conducted a self-study of its dual enrollment program and its adherence to NACP’s 16 standards. A rigorous peer review process was then conducted by representatives from NACEP-accredited programs and members of the NACEP Accreditation Commission.
“We appreciate the thorough, independent review that NACEP has conducted,” Miller said.
The accreditation will be valid for five years. GTC will report annually to NACEP about its dual enrollment program’s practices across the 16 standards.
