In “The Land That Shapes Us,” both artists explore the parallels between the lives of women and the ever-changing shoreline — both perpetually adapting, shifting and evolving. It also celebrates the theme of nature as the ultimate teacher, resilient in the face of storms, a nurturer of life and a seeker of harmony, said the gallery in a news release.

Spoonbill Gallery will hold a First Friday reception from 6 to 9 p.m. July 4 to celebrate the new collection.
