The Mill at Fountain Inn receives SC Historic Preservation Award
The Mill at Fountain Inn, a historic property formerly known as the Ellison Flour Mill, announced July 1 it was recognized with a Preservation Honor Award at the 2025 South Carolina Historic Preservation Awards.
The property’s developers and contractors, which included Bryan Beal of B & B Real Estate Co., Aaron Peter of Project Plus Architects, Steve Foushee and Lou Bouvia of P+F Construction, and Janie Campbell of Rogers Lewis Group, were recognized for their work to turn the dilapidated mill into a community hub.

The Ellison Flour Mill was first constructed in 1940 and served as an industrial site in downtown Fountain Inn for decades. After sitting vacant for years, Innovative Hospitality & Development renovated, repurposed and revitalized the property, in partnership with P+F Construction and Project Plus Architects. The mill’s three main structures were repurposed while preserving the historic configuration and industrial character of the original buildings.
The Mill at Fountain Inn is home to a brewery, food hall, event venue and an outdoor greenspace with a large outdoor screen.
